Glenn Dromgoole, former editor of the Abilene Reporter-News, edited this treasured collection of holiday stories. Some are delightful tales written in memoir format of Christmas’ past, several are fiction, and there’s also a few poems to round out the book, including an hilarious poem about fruitcake by Mr. Dromgoole.
In my story, a hard-working ranch cowboy recalls the beauty of the season without being surrounded by an abundance of decoration and crowds.
Other authors include Elmer Kelton, John Erickson, A. C. Greene, Don Newbury, Jack Boyd, Betty Davis, Carlton Stowers, and many others.
