Chicken Soup

Chicken Soup for the Mother of Preschoolers Soul includes my story “The Race”.

My story “The Race” was inspired by my toddler son who refused to eat anything but fish crackers.

Whether you’re a mother, grandmother, aunt or sister, you’ll love this collection of heartwarming stories about those precious toddler moments!

This was one of my first officially published articles. My writing career was launched, and being a part of the popular Chicken Soup series has opened so many doors for me. At the time I shared the big news, a few wonderful writer friends threw me a surprise Chicken Soup luncheon.

Chicken soup. chicken salad, muffins, tortilla cream cheese rolls, and dessert.

Jodi Thomas cooked her famous chicken soup. This is the lady who shoved me on to my writing path after I took her class at WTAMU. What a journey it’s been. Thanks, Jodi!
