About Us


NKB Books, LLC is an independent small press based in Canyon, Texas. Books are published in English, worldwide, in eBook and print formats.

Our aim is to partner with people who have a unique story to tell and provide guidance into the published market place. We publish fiction and nonfiction, with a special interest on stories relating to the mid continental United States, urban or rural settings. We particularly like stories with a rural focus and works that introduces readers to the diversity and wide open spaces of the American West.

Incredible people and their stories surrounds us every day. Our focus is to introduce these unique stories to the world.

Natalie Bright, Founder and Editor

Natalie holds a BBA in business and marketing from WTAMU, and is the author of the Rescue Animal series of picture books, the Trouble in Texas Series for middle grades, and is currently working on a western series for young adults. Her stories and articles have appeared in a number of publications. She currently serves on the Board of Texas High Plains Writers as the Newsletter Editor/Publicity Chair. She is also a member of Western Writers of America, Woman Writing the West, and the Society of Children’s Book Writers & Illustrators.

Blogger. Photographer. Currently enrolled at West Texas A&M University, Kirsti is obtaining a Bachelor’s Degree in Agricultural Media and Communication. She provides support in the areas of graphic design, layout, video promotion, and social media.
